[fruitful_tab title=”1. Process Mining on Medical Treatment History Using Conformance Checking.”]

Abstract

This research applies conformance checking algorithm to monitor and evaluate the process sequence that occurred in the medical treatment event log history by building a corresponding model on which the training and testing were conducted. The comparison results depicted whether or not the defined workflow is consistent with the actual one recorded in the log files. Thus, the performance was evaluated based the token (or state) behavior, e.g., missing tokens, remaining tokens, left-over tokens and error tokens, in each of the processing steps. The resulting findings can be further used to improve and optimize the overall performance of the designated system.

[fruitful_tab title=”2. Applying Inductive Visual Miner Technique to Analyze and Detect Problems in Rehab of a Hospital in Thailand .”]

Abstract

This thesis aims to present Analyze problems in the rehab by using the Inductive Visual Miner, which is based on an event log of a hospital. Using mining, process, or mining techniques, use the Inductive Visual Miner algorithm using ProM Version 6.6. It is possible to study and point out the complications that occur. And the display of the operation as Animation from the logs recorded to show the relevance of each activity. Include the possible deviation of the process if some activity is reduced. Because of this capability of Inductive Visual Miner, the concerned person can visualize the working model and utilize the information to improve the performance more effectively.

[fruitful_tab title=”3. Improving the process of hospitalization Repair model.”]

Abstract

This research offers applications Repair model to improve the process that takes place by the event log to continue building the model and the data within the event log to improve the process of care (eg, forms Petri net) results are shown. The update process is different from the original Petri net-by-step renovation of Repair model to improve workflow. Simplify certain procedures. And may help the hospital better.

[fruitful_tab title=”4. A Study to Investigate Time Durations of a Call Center Customer Service Using Fuzzy Miner and Transition Systems.”]

Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to apply process mining transition systems and regions technique in order to discover, investigate and analyze the customer service procedures of a call center in a bank which was in charge of handling some issues like; credit card problems, daily inquiries, customer complaints, etc. Using the appropriate algorithm via ProM process mining tool enabled us to simulate and generate the resulting graphs in terms of transition system models. Moreover, using the Disco Fluxicon process mining platform made possible having a look at the collected event logs from different perspectives and dimensions including the standard deviation analysis and investigation of the frequency of data at each stage as well as the relationships amongst the performed tasks. Accordingly, the findings of the study can be beneficial to the administrators and managers of the bank’s call center in order to improve and enhance the quality of their service while being able to better benchmark and detect the potential (or existing) problems, bottlenecks, discrepancies and noises within the available system.

[fruitful_tab title=”5. Using Transition Systems and Regions to Analyze and Monitor Admission Procedures of a Hospital.”]

Abstract

This research applies process mining process discovery on a set of event logs previously collected and recorded using an Information System. The event logs contain information about patients, date/time of the treatment, medical procedures, responsible staff, and other additional attributes. Therefore, the main goal of this research is to verify the extent of conformity (as well as accuracy) of the resulting process workflow (model) through the Mine Transition Systems technique while comparing it with the actual activities recorded in the log file. Subsequently, after investigation of the generated models (i.e., in terms of Petri net graphs), a guideline can be developed and used in order to improve the overall performance of the medical process. Moreover, any inconsistency (or violation of the rules) between the pre-defined Master Model and the simulated/resulted workflow model, which is obtained based on the log file history, can be easily detected and recognized using the proposed approach in this research. The results of the study showed that there is a significantly high delay in waiting time between the activities “treatment” and “payment prior to medication dispense”. These findings can be studied and used by the hospital administrators and staff (or any other entity in charge of the customer service ward) so as to address and solve the existing problems (and bottlenecks) leading to a better service performance of the hospital.

[fruitful_tab title=”6. Performance Analysis of a Bank Call Center Customer Service using Fuzzy Miner Technique.”]

Abstract

The main focus and emphasis of this thesis is to analyze and investigate the most important factors affecting the service quality of bank in Thailand. To do this, the Fuzzy Miner algorithm (using ProM 5.2 and Disco Fluxicon platforms), which is a process mining process discovery technique, was used in order to study the frequency of the performed tasks/events based on the previously collected event logs from the bank’s information system. Moreover, the relationship and dependency measures between the executed tasks were analyzed and discussed in detail. Accordingly, the proposed approach could provide solutions to the existing/current problems of the bank’s call center, making it possible to better visualize, simulate, track and understand the weak points (as well as the strength points) of the bank’s customer service section. In addition, the developed approach let us to better understand the behavior of the both customers and customer service’s personnel while dealing with a problem. As a result, this research provides a groundwork for future and further studies by improving and benchmarking the effectiveness and efficiency of the customer service’s call center, not necessarily applied in a bank, but in other organizational situations, environments and scenarios as well.
