Abstract
With the rapid global development of digital financial services, many countries have experienced significant transformations in their financial ecosystems. In Thailand, the government’s promotion of a cashless society, the widespread adoption of mobile payment platforms such as PromptPay, and the increasing penetration of smartphones have accelerated the use of digital financial services among the population. This study aimed to examine the effects of perceived security, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived convenience on university students’ intention to use digital financial services.
This study employed a quantitative research approach. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed via digital platforms. A total of 300 questionnaires were distributed, 298 were returned, and 287 valid responses were retained for analysis. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS.
The results showed that perceived security, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived convenience all had significant positive effects on university students’ intention to use digital financial services. Among these factors, perceived convenience had the strongest influence, followed by perceived usefulness, perceived security, and perceived ease of use. The findings indicate that students are more willing to use digital financial services when they perceive such services as convenient, useful, secure, and easy to operate. Therefore, improving convenience, usefulness, security, and ease of use can effectively enhance university students’ intention to adopt digital financial services.
