Abstract
This study comprehensively delved into the influencing factors and theoretical underpinnings of financial risk management. It constructed a structural model to depict how various factors impact financial risk management and subsequently validated the research hypotheses and the model itself. To lay a solid foundation, the study systematically reviewed risk management theories and existing research findings on financial risk management by drawing on a substantial body of relevant literature. Specifically, it focused on exploring the impact of four key factors on financial risk management, including funding risk, operational risk, profitability risk, and cash flow risk.
The primary purpose of this study was to propose practical and actionable strategies that can enhance financial risk management within enterprises, thereby improving overall enterprise management. By understanding the influencing factors and their relationships with financial risk management, the study aimed to provide valuable insights for enterprises to better navigate financial risks.
The study relied on risk management theories as its theoretical basis. These theories provided a framework for systematically reviewing and analyzing financial risk management, enabling a deeper understanding of the influencing factors and their mechanisms of action. A quantitative research approach was adopted to gather and analyze data in this study. A total of 400 questionnaires were distributed to relevant stakeholders, and 338 valid responses were received, resulting in a high response rate of 84.5%. This robust data collection method ensured the reliability and validity of the research findings.
The research revealed that funding risk, operational risk, profitability risk, and cash flow risk all had a significant influence on financial risk management. The following recommendations are made for enterprises: (1) Optimize the funding structure to mitigate the financial impact of funding risk; (2) Strengthen supply chain management to withstand the financial impact of operational risk; (3) Focus on product innovation and brand building to alleviate the financial pressure of profitability risk; (4) Improve the cash flow management system to resolve the financial crisis of cash flow risk.
