Abstract

Against the backdrop of global digital transformation and the rapid development of China’s economy and society, the digital transformation of university educational administration has become an urgent necessity, as traditional management models struggle to meet the demands of modern higher education. Taking Hebei Normal University as a case study, this research aims to systematically examine the influence of three key dimensions—perception of educational administration transformation, digital experience in educational administration, competency perception of educational administration teams—on the effectiveness of the digital transformation of university educational administration.
A quantitative research method was employed, with a questionnaire serving as the research instrument. The study population consisted of teachers and students from Hebei Normal University, and a stratified random sampling technique was used to select 400 participants. A total of 381 valid questionnaires were collected, achieving an effective response rate of 95.25%. Data analysis was conducted using reliability and validity tests to ensure the quality of the research instrument, followed by factor analysis and linear regression to test the research hypotheses.
The findings reveal that university teachers and students have a partial understanding of the digitalization of educational administration but lack sufficient recognition of its significance; there is a noticeable gap between existing management systems and actual user needs, and the digital competency of the educational administration team is inadequate. Furthermore, all three hypotheses were supported:
Perception of educational administration transformation, Digital experience in educational administration, and Competency perception of educational administration teams exert a significant positive impact on the effectiveness of digital transformation.
The research concludes that the three key dimensions play crucial roles in promoting the digital transformation of university educational administration. To address practical challenges, universities should accelerate the transformation of educational administration concepts, strengthen the construction of digitally competent teams, and optimize relevant planning and design, thereby advancing the high-quality development of educational administration digitalization.
