Research on the Influencing Factors of Financial Performance of Xiaomi’s Diversified Operations

Abstract

This study focused on the influencing factors of the financial performance of Xiaomi’s diversified operations. It constructed a structural model of influencing factors based on the risk dispersion theory and the synergy theory and validated the research hypotheses and the model. The study explored the impacts of four factors, including market competition, research and development investment, supply chain resilience, and capital allocation efficiency, on financial performance. A quantitative research method was adopted in this study, and data were collected through a questionnaire survey. A total of 400 questionnaires were distributed, with 322 valid responses received, yielding an effective response rate of 80.5%. The study finds that market competition, research and development investment, supply chain resilience, and capital allocation efficiency all have significant impacts on financial performance. Based on these findings, this study proposes strategic recommendations for enhancing the financial performance of Xiaomi’s diversified operations: (1) actively respond to market competition; (2) increase research and development investment; (3) strengthen the construction of supply chain resilience; (4) optimize capital allocation.
