Especially in China, the signing of zero-tariff agreements between China and Thailand for fruit and vegetable products in October 2003 and the formal establishment of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area by 2010 have greatly promoted the development of fruit trade between the two sides. The import and export volume of China-ASEAN fruit trade both showed a rapid growth trend, and both sides have taken an increasingly important position in their respective fruit import and export markets.
