Abstract

This internship is conducted at Himalayan Bank Limited, Bhaktapur Branch, which is an “A” class commercial bank. It is a joint venture bank which is established by joining two difference forces and with ability to achieve common goal with each of the partners. The report basically focuses on the overall banking activities especially highlighting customer service department, credit department and bill and remittance department. Banking institution plays a major role in accelerating the process of development of a country.

The main objective of this study is to get the better understanding of the corporate environment of Himalayan Bank Limited and implementing the theoretical knowledge that has been learnt. In general, it tries to assess the contribution of Himalayan Bank Limited in the overall economic development with its huge involvement.

In the course of the internship, the internee visited one of the oldest branch of Himalayan Bank Limited. This branch has several departments under which different activities are conducted. The main activities conducted by the internee was to deal with the customer and solve their queries and helping the staffs in their work.
