Abstract
This report summarizes my internship experience as an Investment Promotion Intern at the Office of the Investment Board Nepal (OIBN). During my internship, I actively worked in project analysis, investment analysis, financial calculations, and communication with potential investors. Organizing investor meetings and discussions was my main task, and through that, I established a network among hydropower, mining, and infrastructure circles. I conducted research on Foreign Direct Investment trends in Nepal, providing the country’s investment environment with insightful facts.
The report includes the key learnings, challenges encountered, and feedback given during the internship. All the duties and responsibilities assigned during cooperative education are explained in this study. It also details how the experience added richness to my understanding of investment promotion, financial analysis, and business
facilitation.
Finally, OIBN internship brought me significantly closer to the theory and practice gaps that equipped me with the required skills and competence needed to facilitate a fruitful career in the investment and finance fields.
