Abstract

This report aims to detail my 4 months of co-operative education experience at Nurture Higher Education Group, emphasizing the strategic use of Business Intelligence tools in shaping higher education strategies at The Global Academy at Siam University.

The competition is becoming higher for the attraction and retention of students within this industry higher education institutions need to adopt new strategies. Various digital applications enable us to obtain the right tools and techniques to analyse a large amount of data, find opportunities and hidden facts, and support decision-makers in making the right choices.

This report reflects on various tasks conducted during cooperative education which enabled me to learn and use various tools like MS Power BI, MS SharePoint, Meta Business Suite etc. These tools were then used to conduct various tasks for recording and analysing student data to create effective marketing strategies.
Finally, this report shows how business intelligence tools along with other digital platforms may enable a significant change in the tactics employed in marketing for higher education. Institutions can only get an advantage over competitors, enhance their outreach, and eventually achieve the desired enrolment and retention rates if they actively embrace data as a tool.
