บทคัดย่อ
โครงการสหกิจศึกษานี้นำเสนอการป้องกันสนิมภายในท่อส่งด้วยระบบแคโทดิก ซึ่งเป็นวิธีป้องกันไม่ให้เหล็กหรือโลหะที่เกิดการกัดกร่อนกลายเป็นสนิม ด้วยหลักการนำความต่างศักย์ระหว่างโลหะมาส่งกระแสไฟฟ้า โดยศักย์ไฟฟ้าที่มากกว่าจะเรียกว่า แคโทด ส่วนฝั่งที่ศักย์ไฟฟ้าน้อยกว่าจะเรียกว่า แอโนด และจะเป็นฝ่ายเสียประจุไฟฟ้าให้แคโทด ทำให้ป้องกันการกัดกร่อนและเกิดสนิม ระหว่างการปฏิบัติงานในโครงการสหกิจศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยสยามร่วมกับบริษัท เจ.เอส.ที. เซอร์วิสเซส จำกัด ซึ่งประกอบไปด้วย การศึกษาแบบแปลนทางด้านไฟฟ้า เช่น การติดตั้งระบบป้องกันสนิมแบบแคโทดิก รวมถึงแบบแปลนของระบบต่างๆที่เกี่ยวข้อง เช่น การกำหนดตำแหน่งติดตั้ง และการระบุความยาวของท่อส่ง หรือสภาพแวดล้อมโดยรอบของท่อส่ง เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการติดตั้งระบบป้องกันสนิมแบบแคโทดิก เป็นต้น รายละเอียดของการป้องกันสนิมภายในท่อส่งด้วยระบบแคโทดิกและขั้นตอนการลงปฏิบัติงานได้อธิบายไว้ในเล่มนี้แล้ว โครงงานสหกิจศึกษาเล่มนี้สามารถนำไปใช้เพื่อให้เกิดประโยชน์ต่อการศึกษาในเรื่องการป้องกันสนิมภายในท่อส่งด้วยระบบแคโทดิกได้ต่อไป

Abstract
This cooperative education project presents the prevention of rust inside pipelines using a cathodic system. The method is a way to prevent iron or metal that is corroded from becoming rust through the principle of bringing the potential difference between metals to transmit electric current. The side with a higher electric potential is called the cathode, and the side with a lower electric potential is called the anode and will lose electrical charge to the cathode which prevents corrosion and rust. During the Siam University Cooperative Education Project with J.S.T. Services Company Limited, the student learned about electrical plans, such as installing a cathodic rust prevention system. There were plans of various related systems such as determining installation locations and specifying the length of the pipeline, or the surrounding environment of the pipeline to increase the efficiency of installing a cathodic rust prevention system. The details of preventing rust inside the pipeline with a cathodic system and the steps for implementation are described in this book. This cooperative education project can be used to further benefit the study of rust prevention within pipelines using cathodic systems
