บทคัดย่อ
แนวคิดเรื่องความยั่งยืนในการประกอบธุรกิจได้เข้ามาเป็นหนึ่งในปัจจัยที่สำคัญในการประกอบธุรกิจในปัจจุบัน บนความคิดที่ว่า สิ่งที่สร้างไว้ให้แก่สังคมจะกลับมาทำให้ตัวธุรกิจเอง ได้รับประโยชน์เช่นกันในระยะยาว ซึ่งธุรกิจซอฟต์แวร์ก็เป็นหนึ่งในธุรกิจเหล่านั้น ผู้ประกอบธุรกิจต้องพิจารณาถึงความยั่งยืนในระยะยาวของการประกอบธุรกิจของตน ซึ่งความยั่งยืนในอุตสาหกรรมซอฟต์แวร์นั้นประกอบไปด้วยความยั่งยืนในส่วนต่างๆที่มีความเกี่ยวเนื่องกันและส่งผลถึงกัน ได้แก่ ความยั่งยืนของกระบวนการธุรกิจ ความยั่งยืนของการบริการ ความยั่งยืนของระบบสารสนเทศ ความยั่งยืนด้านไอที ความยั่งยืนด้านฮาร์ดแวร์ และความยั่งยืนด้านซอฟต์แวร์ ดังนั้นการศึกษาถึงความยั่งยืนด้านซอฟต์แวร์ก็จะเป็นส่วนช่วยให้อุตสาหกรรมเกิดความยั่งยืน ประกอบกับการที่ซอฟต์แวร์เองก็เป็นหนึ่งในปัจจัยพื้นฐานการผลิตที่สำคัญในอุตสาหกรรมซอฟต์แวร์ และบนตัวเลือกที่มีความหลากหลายในปัจจุบันซอฟต์แวร์แบบโอเพ่นซอร์สมีความโดดเด่นมาก จากข้อดีหลายๆอย่างประกอบกัน กับการที่บริษัทชั้นนำเลือกใช้งาน บทความนี้จึงจะเน้นไปที่ปัจจัยของการเลือกใช้ซอฟต์แวร์แบบโอเพ่นซอร์ซของอุตสาหกรรมซอฟต์แวร์ เข้ามาเป็นทิศทางในการศึกษาถึงความยั่งยืนของอุตสาหกรรม
ผลการวิจัยพบว่าซอฟต์แวร์แบบโอเพ่นซอร์ซเป็นตัวเลือกที่ดีที่จะพาอุตสาหกรรมซอฟต์แวร์ไปสู่ความยั่งยืนได้ โดยที่ผู้ประกอบการจะต้องเลือกลักษณะรูปแบบโมเดลและข้อกำหนดของใบอนุญาตของซอฟต์แวร์แบบโอเพ่นซอร์ซให้เหมาะกับธุรกิจของตนเอง ประกอบกับข้อดี ข้อเสีย และความเสี่ยงของซอฟต์แวร์

Abstract
The concept of sustainability in business operations has become a key factor in doing business and it benefits in the long run. The software business is one of those businesses. The business itself must look at the long-term sustainability of their business operations. Sustainability in the software industry is comprised of interrelated areas of sustainability: business process sustainability, services sustainability, information systems sustainability, IT sustainability, hardware sustainability and software sustainability. In addition, software itself is one of the key production fundamentals in the software industry and on the variety of options available today. The opensource software type is very distinctive with many advantages combined and selection from world-renowned companies. This article focused on the factors of software industry’s choice of opensource software as a direction in the study of industry sustainability.
Research showed that opensource software is a good choice to lead the software industry towards sustainability. Operators choose the nature, model, license conditions, and requirements of opensource software to suit their business along with the advantages, disadvantages, and risks of the software.
