Abstract

Covid-19 was first identified in Wuhan, China in December 2019 and spread across the globe. In early months of 2022, the WHO announced that there were more than 3 million infections and over 5 million deaths (the number was counted from the beginning of the article). This crisis had an enormous impact on tourism in Vietnam and the airline industry and hotels have been collapsing. This resulted in congestion, decreasing tourist demand in travel as well as delayed reopening. The objective of this research was to provide a solution for recovery of the tourism industry and adapt to in the next normal. Specify tourist strategies should be used to be able to respond to future crises more effectively and efficiently. This documentary research was based on reviewing the work of previous articles, news, journals, and subsequently attempted to evaluate, estimate, summarize, and review the key success factors of the strategic tourism management area, tourism industry, and the next normal. Based on the most relevant success factors of three vital fields, a framework was illustrated and emphasized their interrelation. First, significant points on strategic management were covered by transportation, clean areas, and a service mindset. Then, vital success factors in the tourism industry area focused on tourist security and advertising. Thirdly, the next normal was emphasized by providing the ecosystem of products such as e-tickets and free Smart Travel Cards which will be available for the visitors entering the booth. It also offered soft skills, product service training courses of Covid-19 precautions for staff for high quality performance to foreign travelers was also covered in this article.
