Abstract

Xiaomi Auto is a relatively new entrant in the automotive sector, and it has managed to build substantial consumer mindshare and strong product differentiation within just a few years. Consequently, conducting an in-depth investigation into the key factors influencing Xiaomi Auto’s corporate development strategy will not only help decipher the company’s growth algorithm, but also provide valuable insights for the sustainable development of the entire industry. The research objective of this study was to examine the effect of entrepreneurial spirit, core competence and support policies on Xiaomi’s new energy vehicle development strategy.
This study took quantitative methods to develop and measurement scales, and selected all 217 employees of Xiaomi Auto’s Beijing flagship experience center as research subjects. This study distributed questionnaires through the Wenjuanxing online platform, and a total of 217 questionnaires were collected, with a high response rate of 94.0%. The results of correlation and multiple regression analyses revealed that entrepreneurial spirit, core competence, and support policies all demonstrated statistically significant positive impacts on Xiaomi’s new energy vehicle development strategy.
Based on the research findings, this study proposes the following recommendations: 1) Reinventing talent development in the automotive industry through entrepreneurial spirit; 2) Boundary-breaking innovation; and 3) The co-evolution of policy guidance and corporate strategy
