บทคัดย่อ
บริษัท สยามน้ำมันละหุ่ง จำกัด เป็นบริษัทที่นำเข้าเมล็ดละหุ่งเพื่อมาทำการสกัดเอาน้ำมันละหุ่งสำหรับการขายและส่งออก ในการดำเนินธุรกิจมีการจัดทำเอกสารต่างๆ ผ่านทางระบบคอมพิวเตอร์ ทำให้มีการจัดเก็บเอกสารในรูปแบบของไฟล์เอกสาร รวมถึงมีการใช้งานไฟล์เอกสารร่วมกันภายในหน่วยงาน ซึ่งหากไม่มีการทำระบบสำรองข้อมูลเพื่อป้องกันปัญหาอันอาจเกิดขึ้นกับระบบคอมพิวเตอร์ เช่น ฮาร์ดดิสก์เสีย การติดไวรัส การลบไฟล์โดยไม่ตั้งใจ อันเป็นปัญหาที่ก่อให้เกิดความเสี่ยงในการดำเนินงาน
จากความเสี่ยงข้างต้นผู้จัดทำได้จัดทำ “ระบบจัดเก็บข้อมูลผ่านเครือข่ายคอมพิวเตอร์” โดยอาศัยซอฟต์แวร์ “Openfiler” ซึ่งเป็นซอฟต์แวร์รหัสเปิดสำหรับการใช้ทำอุปกรณ์จัดเก็บข้อมูลผ่านทางเครือข่าย โดยนำมาทำการติดตั้งลงบนคอมพิวเตอร์และตั้งค่าการใช้งานโปรโตคอล SAMBA สำหรับการแชร์ไฟล์ พร้อมทั้งตั้งค่าการใช้งานโปรโตคอล LDAP เพื่อใช้ในการยืนยันตัวตนของผู้ใช้ก่อนการใช้งาน
ผลจากการทดสอบพบว่า ระบบสามารถจัดเก็บข้อมูลผ่านเครือข่ายและสามารถบริหารจัดการระบบผ่านทางเว็บบราวเซอร์ได้

Abstract
Thai Castor Oil Co., Ltd. is a company that imports castor beans to extract oil for sales and export. In their business operations, documentation is made via the computer system and document storage in the form of document files, and includes sharing documents files within the organization. If there is no backup system to protect from problems that may occur with the computer system, such as harddisk defection, virus computer infection or accidental deletion of files are all issues that cause operational risks.
From the above risks, the owners has created a “Data storage system via computer network” by using “Openfiler”, which is an open source software for the creation of storage devices via the computer network. The software was tested by installing it on a computer and configuring SAMBA protocol for file sharing including configuration of LDAP protocol for user authentication before use.
The results of project showed the system can store data through the network and can manage the system via a web browser.
