Abstract

In order to get rid of the energy crisis and environmental pollution and realize the vigorous Development of China’s economy, the transformation of the automobile industry, as the main pillar of China’s economy, is urgent. Since China put forward the new energy vehicle strategy in 2001, China has established the important strategy of taking pure electric drive as the transformation of automobile industry and the Development direction of new energy vehicles in 2012. Up to now, the degree of competition in China’s new energy vehicle market has reached the Red Sea. As a national brand of new energy vehicles, BYD Automobile Co., Ltd. has its business philosophy different from traditional automobile brands, The whole world has seen the great strength of this Chinese automobile brand. However, how to lay a solid foundation and then comprehensively surpass the traditional automobile power brand has become a problem that BYD has to face at present. In the current environment of new energy vehicles, the competitive strategy of new energy vehicle enterprises needs adaptive adjustment or change. It is necessary to study the competitive strategy of BYD, a well-known new domestic energy vehicle enterprise, to maintain its competitive advantage in the competition.

This paper mainly expounds the background and significance of the research on the competitive strategy of BYD new energy vehicles, comments on the theoretical research at home and abroad, provides a theoretical basis for the next strategic research content of BYD new energy vehicles, and explains the research ideas and methods. The PEST analysis method is used to analyze the competitive environment of BYD’s new energy vehicles, the Porter five forces model is used to analyze the competitive structure of the new energy vehicle industry, and its main competitors. This paper puts forward the cost leading competitive strategy for the Development of BYD’s new energy vehicles, and puts forward the guarantee measures of competitive strategy from the aspects of strengthening cost management, strengthening human resource construction, improving innovation ability and carrying out strategic cooperation.

BYD, as a giant in the domestic automobile industry, has been deeply cultivated in the automobile industry for a long time. Through the research on the competitive strategy of BYD’s new energy vehicles, we can better understand the implementation of BYD’s strategy in recent years, and provide some references for BYD to summarize, adjust and implement its competitive strategy. At the same time, BYD, as a typical representative of new energy vehicles, also provides a certain basis for the selection and formulation
